To the brethren in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore
who follow my blog - some words of encouragement and comfort.

12 We ask you, brothers, to respect those who
labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, 13 and to esteem
them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.
14 And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted,
help the weak, be patient with them all. 15 See that no one repays anyone evil
for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. 16 Rejoice
always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this
is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ... 20 Do not despise prophecies,
21 but test everything; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of
evil. 23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your
whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. [1Th
5:12-18, 20-24 ESV]
20 Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep
and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow
will turn into joy. 21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her
hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the
anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. 22 So also
you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice,
and no one will take your joy from you. ... 33 I have said these things to you,
that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take
heart; I have overcome the world." [Jhn 16:20-22, 33 ESV]
15 He said to them, "But who do you say
that I am?" 16 Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of
the living God." 17 And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon
Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who
is in heaven. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build
my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [Mat 16:15-18
ESV]
7 "And to the angel of the church in
Philadelphia write: 'The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key
of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens. 8
"'I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no
one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have
kept my word and have not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make those of the
synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie--behold, I
will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I
have loved you. 10 Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I
will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try
those who dwell on the earth. 11 I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so
that no one may seize your crown. 12 The one who conquers, I will make him a
pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write
on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new
Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name. 13
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.' [Rev
3:7-13 ESV]
13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. ... 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. [1Th 4:13-14, 16-18 ESV]
6 And he said to me, "These words are
trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has
sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place." 7
"And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of
the prophecy of this book." ... 10 And he said to me, "Do not seal up
the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. 11 Let the
evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still
do right, and the holy still be holy." 12 "Behold, I am coming soon,
bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. 13 I am
the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the
end." 14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the
right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. ... 17
The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say,
"Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires
take the water of life without price. ... 20 He who testifies to these things
says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! 21 The grace
of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. [Rev 22:6-7, 10-14, 17, 20-21 ESV]
Encourage and comfort one
another with these words!
